Our DNA and part of the soul of Guideline, in 2017 the classic LPXe Series went through a total renewal of actions, materials and design. For the 2020 season we have added exciting models which makes this rod series even more complete. Never before have we spent more time in front of curve-walls, design-sheets and on the water with a new development project than with this one.
The 9ft rods in 4,5 and 6 wt are typical rods for all-round dry- and nymph fishing after trout and grayling in rivers and lakes. The 9’6” models are designed for both river, coast and lake fishing after larger trout, sea trout and salmon. The 10ft rods are awesome rods for river fishing after salmon and seatrout, or if you fancy this length when you fish from a boat or float tube. New for 2020 is 10’,6” rods that we have designed for the typical lake fishing that so many loves in the UK. These rods are also excellent for river fishing after trout, seatrout and salmon and works flawless with both WF-lines and shooting heads like ULS or Ultra Compact.
These rods are crisp, light, fast (but 3/4 deep loading), well balanced and they carry a raw, stealthy finish that will impress in every detail. By incorporating new graphite structures and cutting patterns we have improved the strength of the rods and the recovery speeds in the blanks are better than ever. Continuing on the guide-design features of the RSi, we have fitted Fuji KW stripping guides on these rods as well. The reduction of tangles with these unique frames is amazing and the fact that the KW offers the coolest look in fly guides today is an added bonus.
All rods feature single leg guides throughout the rest of the blank. To us, that minimizes weight and unnecessary stiffening of the blank and adds to its performance. Lightweight, yet strong reel seats with customized details all through, match the classic semi-matte, slightly transparent blanks perfectly. Grip lengths, shapes and diameters are also new. LPXe rods come in an Air-Mesh rod bag and a strong lightweight tube.
